lyrics

Let me tell you all about my unlimited plan
I need a minute of your short attention span
there's a thing about people that I never understand
you don't look at other people you just look into your hand

More victims everyday
They offer you a window from the world and you obey
Goddamn, can you put that thing away
there's more to this existence than a digital display

It happens every damn day, people's lives are on hold
from the cattle in the subway to the robots on the road
Goddamn, just look what you were sold
you gave away your freedom, you are all remote controlled

Danielle, you never can tell
When you're here in Hero Falls it can all just go to hell
Goddamn Alexander Graham Bell
Now everyone's imprisoned in a private cell

You can't be left to your own devices
and you never could
You never asked what the ultimate price is
and I think you should

Why don't you listen to me, why don't you listen to me
I'm right in front of you and still you never see
If you don't know you're a slave you can never be free
Communication will be the death of me

Can you hear me now, did you hear what I said
The satellite's a parasite and it's inside your head
Goddamn, it's only gonna spread
One crash and everything's dead

You can't be left to your own devices
and you never could
I'm working on saving a world that's in crisis
for the greater good

You can't be left to your own devices
and you never could
You never asked what the ultimate price is
and I think you should
